Leasing
by Rachel Hoyt
Leasing is greasing
The tracks to possession,
Suggestion that ceasing
To own is perfection.
Intention: pleasing,
Freezing introspection,
Possessions tainting,
Slashing wise intentions.

Sharing
by Rachel Hoyt
Sharing is daring
To let your path collide,
Abide with caring,
Wear more trust than pride,
Alongside those faring,
Comparing their ride,
No guide, just a clearing,
Appearing like the tide.

This week's rhymes were inspired by a company leasing jeans
and business owners sharing space to operate within their means.
Exquisite! Loved the internal rhymes and the bouncy rhythm of this!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Buddah! I'm really enjoying internal rhymes lately. :)
Deleteits pretty cool when people can come together like that and share space to keep each other in business....leasing jeans....seriously?
ReplyDeleteI started out just writing about the ridiculous idea that we should lease jeans. I couldn't ever find a price for buying them, but leasing almost never works out to be cheaper for the "owner". It is just another way to live a life you can't yet afford.
DeleteSharing is a different story. The idea that business owners could share space like that to lower their overhead is really cool. :)
Leasing something you could buy is just financing but without the ownership at the end. Doesn't make sense, usually--unless you REally like to have a new car all the time...That sharing is very cool (Hey, Barney the Dinosaur even knew that :-) Enjoyed your internal rhymes too!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Leasing is silly! I was unaware that Barney knew though. Phew! :P
Deletenice...sharing is a good thing...Wearing more trust than pride... as well.. it needs a bit of humbleness but it's so worth it
ReplyDeleteIt definitely requires a bit of humility. Thanks for visiting! :)
DeleteImage knows no bounds
ReplyDeleteSailing on a sea of vanity as green-eyed monsters surround
The trick is to spend every penny he's is allowed
Then spend just a little more
Just enough to have to work his feet into the floor
In this world
Wise intentions are fictional inventions
Here it's convention to seek each and every drip drop of attention
And it's even true, that for the right price, even you can buy love and affection.
Typo's.... grumble, grumble, grumble...
DeleteI didn't notice the typos. I was busy enjoying your words. :)
DeleteYour rhymes always inspire them!
DeleteAwww, thanks! :)
