Bouts Rimés means "rhymed ends" in French and is a game or challenge where one person (me) makes a list of rhymed words and others (you) write the lines that end with those rhymes, in the same order in which they were given. It was known as Crambo in English and was quite popular in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Will you help me bring back this hip historical habit?
This was my parents' puppy's first jump into the pool. ever. Let's write about this scene (or a similar one) together.
Puppy
Jump
Guppy
Rump
First
Splash
Burst
Flash
Above are the words.
Get writing rhyme nerds!
There will be no winner. This is just for fun.
If you will, rhyme a smile here for everyone.
If you will, rhyme a smile here for everyone.
See the puppy
ReplyDeleteWatch him jump
Canine guppy
Tail on rump
Runs fast first
Then a splash
Water burst
Out in a flash!
Love it! Excellent description of the moment. :)
Deletesilly Puppy
ReplyDeleteJumping in like a
Guppy
whoa my Rump
is a bit heavy, First
to Splash, hey where the bottom,
Burst to the surface
just in time for the camera Flash
Hehe. Very cute. :)
DeleteThis poem should be about a Puppy.
ReplyDeletePeople love how they roll and Jump.
But I'd rather write about a Guppy.
Though no tail, or ears or rump.
Kang was born of his siblings first.
And always liked to make a splash.
But soon his pride was quickly burst,
when a puppy jumped on him in a flash.
Love how you changed the subject but still included the puppy! Great poem. :)
Delete10 reps done! Now do 10 on this puppy
ReplyDeleteTouch your toes, then jump!
Arms feelin' flimsy like a guppy
Means it's time to pump that rump
If you want to be first
Quench your thirst at the pool for a splash
Then hit the track to refine your burst
And on race day, they'll call you Flash!
What a fun image! :)
