Hexa-fornians

They say that we should cut up
My state, the land of gold -
They yearn for a pick-me-up,
A rule to be extolled -
They want safe towns and wise schools,
Smooth roads and sunny skies -
They're flush, funded by moguls,
And fueled by selfish cries -
They want to save a great state
By splitting it in six -
They're half trying a bit late
To create a quick fix.
