Dern

To learn someone's dern,
First trust must be earned,
Then dark secrets are learned,
Which may lead you to yearn,
To un-know what you learned,
Return secrets earned,
Regain mystery, the dern.

Every week I rhyme and define a new wacky word.
Come on over to indulge your inner nerd.
And, please let me know of any weird words you've heard.

I'm sorry for the lack of notice, but I've decided to quit
posting wacky word rhymes here for a bit.
I'm pondering compiling these (and more) poetic definitions
into one of my very first book submissions.

  2. Dern--Eric stole my comment--that's exactly what I was thinking--thought it was funny that in the definition, they couldn't come up with a way to use it :-) Good one Rachel!

    1. I too thought it was quite funny they couldn't find a way to use it in a regular sentence, yet I used it in rhyme! :P

Rhyming or not, I would like a lot to hear the thoughts my words brought...
