Lizards decorticate
without help or disturbed state,
then they regenerate
that layer they shed to feel great.

Sneakily they regulate
their ability to decorticate.

Come on over to indulge your inner nerd.
And, please let me know of any weird words you've heard.

  1. I like your use of the word! The definitions I read only used it to describe peeling off husk, rind, or bark, but my brain went right to lizards. LOL

    1. There's not really a prompt (it's a theme I began a while ago), but feel free to join in and let me know if you do. We can link back & forth. :)

  6. This cracked me up, then made me drop my chin in shame. I need to decorticate. Better go to Trader Joe's and pick up some lavender salt scrub!
