Meed

One needs a meed
to heed the lead
to one who feeds
on the toil of steeds -
Dollars for deeds.
A wage is a meed.

Every week I rhyme and define a new wacky word.
Come on over to indulge your inner nerd.
And, please let me know of any weird words you've heard.

  1. oh that I could be freed
    from the need
    for meed

    with enough meed
    retirement I could speed
so many books I could read

but now blood money I bleed
    for now it's my creed

I feel the need for meed.

    Loved this gentle screed.

    1. Hope they raise your meed
      so retirement can speed
more time to write and read.

      :)

      Loved your comment.
