Something Soft
by Rachel Hoyt
Loved by people who have gone crazy
or taken drugs until their vision is hazy
because it's soothing to touch and pet
(though if caught doing that you may feel regret).

Friday Photo
Fun is when I share a randomly captured moment,
or perhaps a photo experiment with more purposeful intent,
then pair it with a rhyming riddle to exercise your mind
and teach you more weird facts to which you once were blind.

After the answer is guessed, I will post a second, non-abstract photo...
and just in case you wanted
to know,
the first is not a photoshopped version of the second -
they're shot using different techniques that to me beckon.
No one guessed the full answer, padded walls,
but Wanda knew velvety things are soft like paws.

This is making me think of Lenny in Of Mice and Men saying, "I like to pet the soft thing with the fingers.", but I'm guessing it isn't a mouse OR a rabbit.
ReplyDeleteWell, you're thoughts are headed in the right direction. That is about all I can say right now. :)
DeleteOnce again, absolutely no guess . . . :( You're just too good at this, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days you will get it! xo
DeleteI'm thinking something made of velvet or velour?
ReplyDeleteI give you partial credit! It was velvety, but I'm hoping for a more specific answer. :-).
DeleteHappy Friday Rachel,
ReplyDeleteMy brain hurts trying to figure this one out...you've done it again...I don't have a clue!!! I'll keep checking back to see the answer. Hope you have a great day!
I hope you don't get a headache! :) Hope you have a great day too. :)
DeleteADDITIONAL CLUE #1 - This is an architectural detail not usually seen in houses... it's hip in bars and (historically) associated with an institution where some whre crazy tied up blouses. :P
ReplyDeleteDang, you lost me at architectural detail and bars. Something made from velcro?
ReplyDeleteThis is a real stumper. It's got me stumped. Ooooh, wait! Is it a stump?
ReplyDeleteLOL. Not a stump, but thanks for the giggle. :-) I've posted the answer... It is padded walls. They're making a comeback here... Possibly because of that movie Get Him To The Greek.
Deletei will be honest...the regret part made me concerned to guess..ha...
