A Clarihew for Monsieur Pingouin

walked normal as a kid
but later developed a waddle
and began loving penguins full-throttle.

Josh from "Its Tiger Time" invented You Tube Tuesday so we could each share one video a week which we found to be fun, inspiring or otherwise noteworthy.  If you choose to participate, don't forget to leave your links in my comments section (so I can come visit you) and on Josh's page (so you can be part of the contest).  I hope you like this week's selection!

Shark Week Clerihew

The 30 Rock guy, Tracy Jordan,
doesn't have words of wisdom often,
but simple solid advice he sometimes does speak,
i.e. "Live every week like it is shark week."

Streaming Mediocre Content

Image by Salvatore Vuono via freedigitalphoto.net

Please Misters Universal, Warner Bro's and Twentieth Century Fox,
don't make me pay $30 per month for mediocre content to my box.
I can't afford to pay more, but with the minimum I'd be bored!
Please sirs.  Rad rhyming requests shan't be ignored.

Saturday AM TV

Image by Salvatore Vuono via freedigitalphoto.net

There once was a talking sponge named Bob.
My valuable braincells he attempted to rob.
I can see why he makes little kids laugh and play.
Still I wish there was better AM TV on Saturday.

This poem was written because LOL Prompts inspired me.

I'm also sharing it in the Poetry Pantry,
another great poetry forum that you should see.

Clerihews About Me, For You

These Clerihew poems were written (very quickly... on my lunch break...) for Inside My Poem Book's poetry form challenge.  I highly recommend joining the challenge.  I thought it was really fun!

Olive Louise

Grandma said, "Name her Olive Louise."
Mom said "No thank you" despite her "please".
Every day I thank God I'm not called Ollie Lou.
I think it's a terrible nickname; annoying song too.

Rhyming Rachel

Radical rhyming Rachel
writes poetry that's playful.
She attempts to report on news that's crazy
in a way that entertains readers who're lazy.

The Karaoke Queen

The karaoke queen
sings well and isn't mean.
Sometimes when drinking she'll say,
"I'm not bad.  I'm just drawn that way."
