Friday Photo Fun
is when I share a randomly captured moment,
or perhaps a photo
experiment with more purposeful intent,
then pair it with a
rhyming riddle to exercise your mind
and teach you more
weird facts to which you once were blind.
Something Green
In tests of speed and spawn, it's a superhero.
Things it can't do? Seems like zero.
It's tall and lean, environmentally clean,
And most of all, it's serene.
What a puzzle ....kind of fun ...a splash of water is my guess ...thanks for making my lazy cells do some work !!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being the first guesser!! It's always the hardest. No, not a splash of water...
DeleteRubber boots, trees, bushes, skipping green rock, ninja turtle..lol
ReplyDeleteLOL. Are you just listing everything within your eyesight as a guess today? One of your answers is going in the right direction. :P
DeleteOh man Rachel...you always stump me with these riddles LOL. Totally clueless again :)
ReplyDeleteHehehe. This one is much more of a stumper than the last few weeks, I know. :P I know someone can figure it out though! :)
DeleteGlass breaking ? :) I was going to say water ..but you said it isn't :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, fun guess! :) No, not glass breaking but that sounds like a fun photo shoot.... trying to smash the glass while taking the photo. :)
DeleteADDITIONAL CLUE #1: It is not an inanimate object, but is used to make them.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I want to say this, but, is it seaweed? Or, bamboo? Love your photo and riddle challenge, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteDing-Ding-Ding!!! :) It is bamboo. :) Good job Martha! I carefully choose my words so as to try to subliminally plant the answer in someone's head. :)
DeleteLooks like an elephant splashing water with its trunk ....
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delayed response. Martha guessed the correct answer already... it was bamboo. :)
DeleteIs it a peacock ?
ReplyDeleteI wish! If you couldn't get them to hold still long enough for your photo, though, it might be tough to get a good abstract shot. :)
DeleteThis is an interesting photo! What is it?

I love that my photo technique makes it look like water, but no... it is bamboo in the sky. :)
DeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteI have twisted & turned myself inside out & still cannot fathom how Martha got bamboo. I would have said a leaf.
These are real brain teasers Rachel!
Thanks for sharing.
A leaf is pretty darn close Andy. :) Thanks for visiting. :)
DeleteMartha's a clever girl and so are you Ms Hoyt ;) Always fun here! ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you, Corinne! :) <3
DeleteNice picture...thought it was a reflection of trees in the water...bamboo could not have fathomed that.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Janaki. It was definitely a tougher photo and rhyme this week. :)
Deletesmiles...i like to hug trees....nice reflection shot
ReplyDeleteSo glad I could make you smile. :)
DeleteA wind turbine on a turtles back whilst swimming?
ReplyDeleteA
LMAO! Now THAT is something I'd like to photograph. :)
DeleteI'm not sure what it is...but I love the green hues in the photo! Very tranquil.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you find the picture peaceful! That was the mood I was going for. :) It is bamboo. :)
DeleteI love this, I read the answer is bamboo, I never would have guessed. Great one.
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteI never would have guessed bamboo...Martha did a nice job of figuring this out. At first glance I was thinking a splattering of paint or something along those lines. Thanks for the brain exercise!!

What a clever idea, Rachel. I would have guessed something splashing down into water. I have to go back now, and try to see bamboo. Bamboo???
ReplyDeleteThank you, Victoria! :) I'm having a lot of fun shooting these abstract photos and writing riddles to play with you all. :)
DeleteI was going to say a tree, but I see it's bamboo! I love these riddles! What fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tameka! I'm glad you like the riddles. :)
