Espy
by Rachel Hoyt
The word espy
is often used in poetry
to mean notice or see.
So, if you espy "espy",
what did you see?
You saw poetically
what it means to espy.

you've heard.

Hehe. Definitely be careful speed reading espy. :)
DeleteEspied from across the room that you have a new look on your blog... I like it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I did spend a bit of my weekend sprucing up the page. :)
DeleteAwesome. Before, I knew this only for titling a TV award (same letters, different pronunciation).
ReplyDeleteI had heard of the award as well. Only recently did I first see this word used in poetry. I like it. :)
ReplyDeleteI espy with my little eye... another great poem that explains a great word :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mark! It is definitely a fun word. :)
DeleteThat's a word I truly like, Rachel. Here's one I recently came across: agerasia. I'm hoping to 'suffer' from it! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat word! (I just googled it.) I think we all hope to suffer from that. Hehe. :)
DeleteGood one Rachel...one I hadn't heard...again ☺
