This rhyme was written for Mad-Kane's Limerick-Off,
where the humor will make you giggle and snicker, not scoff,
and inspired by the news linked to above and right here
about a woman who eats whatever rocks lie near.
LOL! Good one, Rachel! Reminded me of how much my granddaughter loves to play with rocks; good thing she doesn't try to eat them! :)
ReplyDeletePLAYING with rocks is good.
DeleteTouch, throw and view them you should. :)
And I'm guessing she quickly died
ReplyDeleteFilled with rocks inside.
Amazingly, she is still alive. Living loud and proud at age 45. :)
DeleteI'd love it if we could eat rocks...My grocery bill would be a lot less! :)
ReplyDeleteI do wish I could trim my grocery bill that way! :)
DeleteRocks are one of my favorite things, eating them is another matter. Although; if I wanted to be, "solid as a rock", it might be a good idea.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Solid as a rock sounds right. I bet her bowel movements bring quite a fright! :P
DeleteRachel, oh my goodness, I can't believe someone one would consider eating rocks!!
ReplyDeleteI gasped when I first saw her photo with the rock in her mouth. Crazy! :P
DeleteI don't know if the expression exists in English, but in my country we have two expressions about eating rocks. First one meaning a person who has no preferences in food and who would eat anything, and the second is to describe someone who has a lot of sufferings in life.
ReplyDeleteIn my country we have the saying 'dumber than a box of rocks'. I think your country's sayings and ours describe it pretty well. :)
DeleteI'm smiling :)
ReplyDeleteYay! :)
Deletei saw this lady on the news...so weird...and the others as well with their oddities...i imagine her dentist is a rich man you know...smiles...
ReplyDeleteI hope she has good dental insurance. :)
DeleteSmiles!! I just can't do the limerick thing very well!
ReplyDeleteSmiles. :) Limericks are tough! Especially if you're trying to get the meter right. I'm no pro... :)
DeleteHard living, mon - but a funny poem. Enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Definitely hard living. :) LOL
DeleteFunny and catchy smiles
