What Are You Thankful For?

Thankful for Thanks

I'm thankful for the faces that

I see as often as my cat

And the ones farther away

Who share my blessed DNA.

I'm thankful for anyone who

Can cheer me when I'm feeling blue

And push my laugh to a new key

When I start with an ounce of glee.

I'm thankful for all things in life

Which ensure that I feel less strife -

Everything from my pillow

To caffeine, sweets and OK Go!

But, most of all, I'm thankful for

The fact that thanking helps me more - 

It reminds me that life's not so bad

And, in the end, makes me more glad.

UPS Saves Millions Per Year By Avoiding Left Turns

Right Wrong Turn

If you missed that left turn,

There's no need to stop stern,

Blocking and locking up traffic -

Life will move more slick

If you go straight, then right,

And right at the next two lights...

Assuming you must go that way,

Don't find joy while astray...

For sometimes on the long way we learn,

Good can come from making wrong turns.

Cantrip

A cantrip

can trip you,

trick you,

put you under a spell,

and silence your yell.

It's magic used tragically,

slick witchy trickery -

like the apple Snow White nipped,

that one bite slip,

a deadly cantrip.

Thursday Thoughts - Humans Came From Rats?!

Rat Rant

Please no, not a rat,

Anything but that,

Even a gnat,

Or an ugly bat,

But not that -

I come from no rat.

I like monkeys,

Can't I come from these

Primates that please,

Fur balls at ease -

Can't I come from these?

I like monkeys.

So what if they're tough?

They're ugly - no fluff,

No sparkle, all scruff -

I wish this was a bluff.

I've got sparkle and fluff,

Don't want to be that tough.

Friday Photo Fun is when I share a randomly captured moment,
or perhaps a photo experiment with more purposeful intent,
then pair it with a rhyming riddle to exercise your mind
and teach you more weird facts to which you once were blind.

After the answer is guessed, I will post a second, non-abstract photo...
and just in case you wanted to know,
the first is not a photoshopped version of the second -
they're shot using different techniques that to me beckon.
