Megrim

When one feels megrim,
They aren't quite grim,
But their smile is spread thin,
They've no joy to the brim,
They're half-full, light blue - megrim.

Every week I rhyme and define a new wacky word.
Come on over to indulge your inner nerd.
And, please let me know of any weird words you've heard.

  1. Some think I'm happy, but it's a ploy.
    Depression affects, even this boy.
    Megrim moods, which really annoy,
destroy my happiness and kill my joy.

    1. I suffer from depression too,
but find that when I'm feeling blue,
the best thing that I can do,
Is write it out in rhyme for you.

      :)

  2. I loved this treatise on the word megrim
another obscure word for the file
and I'd gladly suffer the mental chagrin
if I looked like that brooding Gentile.

    1. Maybe he's all bent out of shape because he can't write very well.
The grass may seem a bit more green, but it's the truth that one can never really tell.

    2. Someone should've told him to pick up a pen. The most obvious things never occur to some men. :P

  3. Wearin' a megrim smile wearin' thin
    Channelin' what others call depression
As I'm dealin' with a case of worldly disaffection
As it appears so many walk about
carryin' a little less than critical introspection

    Though I'm living with
A collection of animals that are acting like it
They won't bring me down, not one bit
No, I'll write a blog and call it Slow Wit
I'll just write and write, and I won't quit
And, even though my rhyming toy is not often one of joy
The places I go with my mergrim flow are places I always enjoy.

    1. I completely agree.
Writing does the same for me. :)

Rhyming or not, I would like a lot to hear the thoughts my words brought...
