Though Isla Vista is connected
to Santa Barbara, it's rejected
for not fitting the perspective
of the overall collective.
Students come and go so much
leaving rental damage and such
that people fear the things they touch
and that the city will be their crutch.
It doesn't help the city any
when students roam the streets a-plenty.
They rarely have more than a penny
to pay to clean up after many.
It's not so much to ask, I think,
for masses to need permits to drink.
If the Foatopians don't want to sink
someone must write their name in ink.
Will the youngsters rise to the task
or just sit drinking from their flask?
Be safe and clean up is all that we ask
for floaters to float and sunbathers to bask.

Thats the most colorful and entertaining way I've ever heard anyone say... Get off my lawn!.. JK!.. ;)
ReplyDeleteWonderful petition, Rachel!.. =)
