What is crazy bright colored and large?
Visible on land while at sea on a barge?
Annoying as heck but sometimes tempting?
Of a niche I'd hoped was worth neglecting?
The newest place advertisers are pondering
to plaster their encouragement for squandering?
Thank god these things are forbidden in Santa Barbara.
Watch out America! Billboard houses soon will taunt ya.

My NaPoWriMo poem #10
This should be a jingle and an ad to be seen and heard by all.
ReplyDeleteThey are everywhere, look under your chair
ReplyDeleteA
@YogaSavy - Wow, thanks! I am happy to sell it to the highest bidder. I might even sing it for them. :)
ReplyDelete@Alejandro - They are under my chair? I'm not looking down there. You're just messing with me cuz everywhere I look, there they be! :)
I agree with Savira... a jingle : )))
ReplyDeleteLove how you take something you see on the news and rhyme about it.
ReplyDeleteAs for the house ads, I couldn't believe it. I called my wife over to see the link and she said she would totally go for it. Of course, we're not in a high enough traffic area for that.
@Kriti - Thanks! I'm a jingle writer then, LOL. :)
ReplyDelete@Matty - I'm glad you like my concept! I like to remind people there is fun stuff in the news as well as the sad and scary the regular news shows. And... it would be hard not to go for it if they offered it to you! Pay my mortgage and I could work a lot less at my normal job and do a lot more writing. That would be sweet. :)
I'll hear this in my head all night long! Thanks Rachel:)
ReplyDeleteCould not believe that add in your link. And no, I'm not sure I could have anyone paint up my house as an advertisement. Unless of course, I didn't live there anymore:)
Giggle, giggle! Don't know if you've gotten this already, but I'd like to give you the Creative Blogger Award. Please visit my blog to claim it! http://lolamousedroppings.blogspot.com/2011/04/crooked-line.html
ReplyDelete@Mary - I'm glad some people wouldn't go that far... it's too much advertising. Why can't they tell us something about the stuff and let us choose what we want to buy?
ReplyDelete@Lolamouse - I believe I did receive the Kreativ Blogger award many months ago, but I have yet to turn down an award. LOL.
Very nicely playful and whimsical!
ReplyDeleteSay it ain't so! Bad enuff to see blimps annoying me to have a Good Year!
ReplyDelete@PhotoDiction - Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
ReplyDelete@booguloo - I totally agree. Advertising has gone too far.
